This is a very quaint small town in southwest Utah. Main street boasts a beautiful downtown area with a marvelous variety of sculptures.
While traveling to Zion National Park, or Bryce Canyon National Park, a stop in St. George is worth your time.
How this charming little town came to be known as St. George is not conclusively known. One of the widely accepted theories is that the town was named after George A. Smith, an early Mormon Apostle who encouraged early pioneers to eat raw, unpeeled potatoes to fight off a bout of scurvy.
